System Overview:
Avista Utilities provides natural gas to about 300,000 customers in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. They also provide electricity to 325,000 customers in eastern Washington and northern Idaho.

Avista Utilities' system includes eight hydroelectric generating plants on two rivers, and coal, natural gas, and wood-waste combustion plants in Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana.

Contracts with a number of natural gas pipelines extends Avista's access into Canadian and domestic supplies, allowing them to capture market opportunities and cost efficiencies for the growing natural gas customer base.
